Yamaha SR250 GP

A brilliantly built SR250 by 'Ducati Single Old Man' designed for the road and track? Such a brilliant build.

This SR250's got a great metal finish on all fronts. There's chrome plated, polished alloy and stainless. I'm drooling over the combination of Honda tank, duck tail seat and swing back header pipe with a reverse cone muffler. It screams 'classic' cafe racer, a tad Norton and a tan 1950's HRC. Not to mention the nice performance upgrades with the suspension and brakes. Front and rear brakes look to be modified TLS (twin locking shoe) drum brakes, perhaps from another Yamaha model. I'm left to wonder, did they modified the engine too?

A couple of wicked youtube videos of this bike running the infamous Tsukuba circuit in Japan. If you watch closely, the SR250 is by no means the race leader, but with a distinct crackly thump roaring round the corner it certainly sounds nicest and definitely looks the part. Check out 0:25 on the second video.
